Geylang Lor 9: A Unique Dining Experience with Famous Frog Porridge

The dried chilli frog legs had just the right amount of spice to give a kick of heat without overwhelming the delicate flavor of the tender, juicy meat. Meanwhile, the fried frog legs were perfectly seasoned and had a satisfying crunch to them. Recommended!

This is my all time favourite for either dinner or supper. Had dine here and JB branch for the past 4 years, it is very delicious and nothing will go wrong. Highly recommend to order the frog with dried chili. Suggest to serve beer in bottle here then it will be perfect!

A very good place to detox from alcohol drinks. Porridge tea and proteins. There are option of frog porridge or normal white porridge. The fried vege was the most generous portion I've had so far. Taste was great, the white porridge has a fragrance in it. The omelette was great but I usually preferred my a bit more borderline to burnt stage this one's a bit healthy for me Food was tender and fresh. They really open until 4am morning. Come come support good food comfy environment.

Geylang Lorong 9 is actually a famous street in Singapore and I guess they either ripped the name off or they brought something famous over to KL. I tried their infamous frog porridge. I've always loved frog legs so this was not gross for me as it might be for people who don't like eating frogs! The taste was flavourful and the sauce was salty which I liked! The frog leg itself was tender and soft - made for a very satisfying meal. Food came out fast too and the staff were attentive to our needs. Definitely give this a try!

Geylang Lor 9 is a shop located along the same row as AmBank SS2, and they are famous for one thing - Frog Porridge. Many of you might go "ewwwwww!" when see the word "frog porridge". Frog porridge might sounds scary to many, but in actual fact, they are very delicious. The meat were being prep in away to remove any unpleasant odour of the frog. The texture? It's like chicken! In fact,it more tender and smoother than chicken meat. My favourite style in Geylang Lor 9 would be the Kong Pu Frog with Porridge. The frogs were cooked in dried chilies and soy sauce, and served seperately from the plain porridge. Despite the dried chilies, the heat of the dish is very mild. Mixed the frog with the porridge and you are good to go. The price of the porridge is not cheap. Each frog you order is about RM12. Apart from the frog porridge, they have simple vegetable dishes and egg dishes on the menu too. They open till late night, so it's an ideal place to go if you are craving for a hot bowl of porridge.
